Our Story
Benvenuti a VIA VAI, where chef and owner Antonio Morichini and his staff provide guests with contemporary Italian dishes rooted in tradition and a stellar collection of Italian wines.
Experience Italian cuisine in Astoria, NYC, with our menu offerings made fresh daily using only the finest ingredients imported from Italy. Many of our pastas are made by hand daily and our pizzas are baked to perfection in our imported Italian-made brick oven. Accompany your meal with an Italian wine from our wine cellar and finish off with one of our specialty house-made artisanal desserts.

About Chef and Owner Antonio Morichini
Born, raised, and trained in Italy, Antonio Morichini is proud to bring the traditions and culinary culture of his homeland and culture to Astoria, NYC. A nativeof Rome, he brings his vast training at Michelin-starred restaurants to create a warm, welcoming, and authentic dining experience for guests. He cooks every dish at Via Vai himself, ensuring the highest quality in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
At VIA VAI, we share our love for authentic contemporary Italian food steeped in strong culinary traditions.
